Is a therapeutic process designed to help a person to recognize any conflicts that are occurring in their life and family relationships. It can help uncover the backgrounds of failure, illness, addiction, as well as any other issues. While we receive good qualities from our families, we are also exposed to carrying burdens, beliefs, or traumas from previous family members that could be stopping us from becoming who we are truly supposed to be.
Bert Hellinger, is a German psychotherapist that explores all about the Family Constellation Therapy is a type of group therapy by a facilitator with special training with a technique.
"The greater soul moves in only one direction, and that is to bring into union that which has been made separate.” — Bert Hellinger
In Family Constellation Therapy, the person participating or receiving the therapy selects other members of the group to serve as stand-ins for his or her actual family members. These people are arranged in a circle, called the family constellation. The surrogates or stand-ins hear about the family history or the issue of concern to the person receiving the therapy. Then the stand-ins are asked to describe how they feel or anything they think regarding the connection between the family members they are portraying and the person getting the therapy.
This process frequently leads to a greater sense of understanding and empathy. With family constellations, you have the opportunity to disentangle the trauma that you are unconsciously experiencing.
Group: The therapist directs the family members’ posture, position, and words, although sometimes the activity involves minimal talking. The client might interact directly with their relatives in the constellation or stand aside and watch the interactions unfold.
Individual: therapy technique, using toys or figurines to represent their various family members. Similarly, they could use art therapy techniques to draw their family tree and indicate the various dynamics within the family. The therapist and client can work together over a longer period of time to map out relationships and notice patterns.

Everyone has the right to belong. When a member in a family is excluded, the relational field—the Knowing Field, as it is described in constellation work—becomes disturbed. These disturbances are carried forward by future generations as physical and mental illness, relationship challenges and barriers to stepping fully into one’s life. These patterns are repeated until the wholeness of the family system is restored.
Each person in a family system not only has the right to belong, they also have their right place within the order of the family system. This right order allows the flow of love to move freely. It is referred to as the Orders of Love. When a family system is disordered, there is a ripple effect that alters the ability of a family to function as a healthy system.
For example, a child may unconsciously be in the place of a parent or a sibling may be operating out of birth order.
The impact of stating the truth acts as an energetic, chiropractic-like adjustment of the soul. To acknowledge “what is” stimulates changes within the family that support belonging and right order. We are able to carry what belongs to us and release what does not.
Acknowledgment in constellation work may occur through subtle energetic shifts, eye contact and by using “healing words” that act as remedies for strengthening the soul and awakening our consciousness. We see that the truth really does set us free.
There are other ways that you can create a family constellation. If you wish to do it without other people, you can use figurines or simple objects (i.e. a cushion or a box), and each figure can symbolically represent a family member.
By placing them in different locations around you, the seeker can see how they feel about each family member, and what the symbolized person needs at the moment.
Most people need only one Constellation to heal a specific issue.
When there is a situation in your life that you haven't been able to heal or change. To solve issues in professional life and have success, money and abundance. For physical and mental health. This is an excellent method that helps heal physical and mental illnesses.
To find Love or improve your relationships. When you want to make an important decision If you want to have a clearer view of a situation. When you have identified a pattern in yourself or your family that prevents you from having the life you want.
The client wants to break dysfunctional or harmful patterns in their relationships that might be related to dynamics that they learned from their family of origin. A couple wants to better understand each other’s history and how their families of origin affect what they each bring to the relationship. The client wants to confront an abuser from childhood who is deceased, unreachable or who the client does not feel safe contacting.
The client wants to gain insight into how patterns from their childhood continue to impact their mental health. Family constellations are not indicated for specific diagnoses, but they may be beneficial for those struggling to overcome childhood trauma, experiencing complicated feelings after the death of a relative, or various other effects of problematic family dynamics.
Clients who utilize the family constellation might experience catharsis following this intervention because it allowed them to work through conflict, trauma and difficult past experiences in a safe environment.
Because the family constellation draws the client’s attention to patterns and dynamics they had not previously considered, they will likely develop improved insight into their behaviors. This can lead to healthier communication and more fulfilling relationships. Family constellations also create a powerful space for processing traumatic events from the past.
